We care about the condition in which you receive your order. To ensure their protection in transit, we ship all items individually bagged and in new or gently used boxes.
Because we derive so much from nature, we seek to practice business in a way that minimizes our ecological footprint. Our “tread lightly” motto guides how we pack orders and select shipping materials. Here’s where actions speak louder than words:
-
For retail shops, we may provide one display-ready handbag as a model and flat-pack all others along with the stuffing tissue you’ll require. This space-saving strategy enables us to use fewer boxes. If more businesses adopted this approach, this would conserve untold material resources and put fewer delivery trucks on the road, thereby reducing harmful tailpipe emissions and fuel consumption.
-
Our new boxes contain at least 65% post-consumer recycled content. What does this mean? Post-consumer recycled content is made from material that has been already used by an end consumer and collected for recycling. Because it creates demand for material that would otherwise end up in a landfill and reduces demand for felling new trees, this is the best type of paper product to buy… and then recycle yet again!
- We have started sourcing larger volume boxes from UsedCardboardBoxes.com. They supply new and previously-used corrugated boxes that would otherwise be discarded. The new boxes may be factory misprints or overruns, and the used boxes carry a quality guarantee. Try a "rescued" box yourself the next time you need one.
-
The kraft tissue we provide to stuff the bags for display is a superior choice to other tissue and papers. It is unbleached, made from recycled content, and lightweight, which also helps reduce transportation expenses.
-
Handbags arrive in 100% biodegradable and compostable BioBags®. Made primarily from Midwest cornstarch – not Middle East oil – these bags are a viable alternative to standard petroleum-based plastic bags, which litter our parks, are rarely recycled, and take generations to decompose.
