Opened in April 2026, The Nantucket Whaling Museum was the first venue to host this traveling exhibition from the New Bedford Whaling Museum.

The Wider World & Scrimshaw exhibited carving traditions from whaling routes in the Pacific world, showcasing over 300 objects along side carved decorative arts and materials made by Indigenous community members from across Oceania, the Pacific, and the Arctic.
